Order types
Market and limit orders, time in force, reduce-only.
| Type | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Market | Fills immediately at the best available price. |
| Limit | Rests at your price until filled or cancelled. |
Options:
- Post-only: a limit order that only adds liquidity; it is rejected if it would fill immediately.
- Reduce-only: can only shrink an existing position, never open or flip one. Close → Market is always reduce-only and capped at your position size.
