Privacy & Verification
What's public / what's private
What stays public on the market, what you see in your own account, and how HyperVeil is built so your positions can't be linked to your wallet.
HyperVeil's privacy is about who can link activity to you, not about hiding market numbers. Trading activity stays public. HyperVeil is built so that activity can't be traced back to your wallet.
Public
- Market tape: price, size and time of fills that reach the market (Hyperliquid's public trade feed for the pool account; HyperVeil's own views batch timestamps).
- Pool activity: the pool's net position and related state on Hyperliquid.
- Market level: open interest, volume and funding rates for the underlying Hyperliquid markets.
- Aggregate open interest as HyperVeil reports it.
In your account
Your size, entry, leverage, liquidation price, PnL and balance are fully visible to you in your own account, read with your viewing key. You can share a viewing key to disclose your history voluntarily.
Built to stay unlinkable
- Wallet identity. HyperVeil is built so your external wallet can't be linked to your positions or trade history.
- No wallet search. Positions are designed not to be published as a searchable row on a user address, so nobody can look up a wallet and open that trader's book.
- Funding. Per-user funding is designed to settle inside commitments, not as a public transfer to or from your address.
What this is, and isn't
This is not a cosmetic address mask. The protocol is built to genuinely prevent wallet-to-position linkage, through the shielded pool, fresh commitments per fill and pooled execution. Hiding an address on screen while the position could still be traced would not meet that bar.
It also does not make the numbers themselves invisible. Fills, prices and pool activity remain public and can support statistical inference; see the Threat model.
Funding rates are public. Aggregate open interest is public; per-user open interest is not attributed to any wallet.
